Vacation Branding Exercise
Along with everyone else in the creative world, I am obsessed with the design style and brand story of Vacation sunscreen. Opting for retro yet contemporary imaging and colourways, with simple and satisfying typography and compositions, it is, in my mind, flawless.
And so, with hesitation as to not mess with perfection, I took it upon myself to craft a burst ad campaign for the brand…
In my burst ad campaign, I used Adobe Photoshop to play with negative space and the brand’s signature colours, using a compilation of digital photos taken from my time spent working in sustainable material design in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
This personal project was an exploration of the brand’s core themes—’80s nostalgia and the golden age of sunbathing—while also serving as a fun way to enhance my Photoshop and photography skills. Through this process, I gained a deeper appreciation for brand ethos and storytelling.
